  • Internship Programs at cBLAST:
    • The Center for Bioinformatics Learning Advancement and Systematics Training (cBLAST) organized structured internship programs in 2023. Interns gained hands-on experience, contributed to content development, and data analysis, and co-authored publications.

      • Metabolite Profiling: Studying salt stress response in rice to improve agricultural resilience.
      • Genomic Decoding: Unveiling fungal genomes to understand their ecological roles.
      • DNA Marker Development: Collaborating with the Bangladesh Rice Research Institute (BRRI), funded by the World Bank, to develop stress-tolerant rice varieties using advanced genome-assisted breeding techniques.

Sustainable Campus and Practices

Sustainable Green Business Advocacy:

Empowering Communities for Change

  • Entrepreneurship Development and Support:
    • The Innovation, Creativity, and Entrepreneurship (ICE) Centre, in collaboration with the Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP), implemented:
      • Advocacy and support programs for over 700 graduates through focused group discussions, facility visits, and expert problem-solving sessions.
      • Continuous support provided by the Entrepreneurship Support Cell (ESC) enabled young entrepreneurs to enhance business operations and problem-solving capabilities, fostering a robust entrepreneurship ecosystem.
