THE Impact Rankings

Our Commitment to the SDGs
As Bangladesh’s first public university, the University of Dhaka (DU) has been a cornerstone in nation-building and public policy formulation. Nearly 60% of the country’s civil servants are DU alumni, and its graduates contribute significantly to national and multinational projects worldwide. FAQs

Sustainability ensures that we meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. By preserving natural resources and reducing our ecological footprint, we protect ecosystems and biodiversity for the long term.

Individuals can contribute to environmental sustainability by adopting eco-friendly practices such as reducing energy consumption, minimizing waste, using public transportation or biking, supporting sustainable products, and participating in conservation efforts like tree planting or beach clean-ups.

Businesses that embrace sustainability not only reduce their environmental impact but also benefit from cost savings through efficiency improvements, enhance their reputation as socially responsible entities, attract environmentally conscious customers and employees, and mitigate risks associated with resource scarcity and regulatory changes.
