SDG 1: No Poverty

  • Three meritorious students who achieved the highest CGPA in Groups A, B, and C in the postgraduate examination of the Department of Islamic History and Culture were awarded scholarships from the Professor Dr. Habiba Khatun Trust Fund. The Vice-Chancellor handed the scholarship checks to the students.

  • Based on the results of the regular first professional MBBS examination of Dhaka Medical College for the 2021–2022 academic year, two students were granted a one-time scholarship of BDT 8,000 each from the Professor Dr. Md. Delwar Hossain Trust Fund. The students are: 1) Abhik Mallik, MBBS 4th Year, Reg. No: 7414, and 2) Meherin Rubaiyat Chowdhury, MBBS 4th Year, Reg. No: 7598.

  • Subject to good conduct, regular class attendance, and satisfactory academic progress, a scholarship of BDT 1,000 per month for one year in two installments was approved for four students of the Department of Social Sciences. Note: After receiving the first installment of BDT 6,000, the remaining BDT 6,000 will be disbursed from the accounts office upon the recommendation of the Department Chairman.

  • Sumitomo Corporation Asia & Oceania Pvt. Ltd., Japan, will provide scholarships to ten regular students of Dhaka University. For this scholarship, applications are invited from students admitted to the first year of the undergraduate program for the 2022–2023 academic year. Students who passed the Higher Secondary/equivalent examination in 2022 can apply. Applicants must have a GPA of 4.80 in both SSC and HSC (excluding the 4th subject). Application forms are available from the Registrar’s Office, Education-5 Branch (Room No. 212) or the DU website (www.du.ac.bd). Completed application forms, signed and sealed by the respective Department Chairman/Institute Director and Hall Provost, must be submitted to the Registrar’s Office, Education-5 Branch (Room No. 212) by 20 October 2025. Two copies of color photographs, SSC and HSC mark sheets, certificates, parents’ income certificates, and departmental verification letters must be attached. Based on good conduct, academic progress, and regular study, the scholarship is renewable for the next three years.

  • Three students who achieved the highest and jointly the second-highest CGPA in the BSS (Honours) examination in Economics for the 2023 academic year will receive the Professor Raihan Sharif Memorial Scholarship.

  • Subject to good conduct, regular attendance, and satisfactory academic progress, students from various departments received one-time or monthly scholarships from the Dr. Maksudul Alam Memorial Trust Fund, Professor Dr. Hiranya Sengupta Trust, Saeed Ahmed Memorial Scholarship, Dr. Md. Azizul Hakim Scholarship, Late Umme Arefa Khatun Scholarship, Mir Ansar Ali Trust Fund, etc.

  • Scholarships were approved from the Professor Emeritus Mofizuddin Ahmed–Begum Sufia Ahmed Trust Fund for five students of the Department of Chemistry. Each student will receive a one-time scholarship of BDT 12,000.

  • For four female students who achieved the highest CGPA in the Departments of Management, Accounting, Marketing, and Finance, a scholarship of BDT 300 per month for one year was approved from the National Professor Atoyar Hossain Memorial Trust Fund.

SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being

  • The World Mental Health Day was observed jointly by the Student Guidance and Counselling Office and the Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology at Dhaka University. The Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Administration) attended as the chief guest and inaugurated the day-long program. This year’s theme was “Access to Mental Health Services in Crisis and Emergencies.” The day-long program included free counselling, psychometric assessments, psychological games, a mental health book exhibition and sale, workshops, and other awareness-raising activities.

  • A day-long seminar titled "The Introduction of Traditional Chinese Medicine & Medical Practices" was held jointly by the Faculty of Pharmacy and the Centre for China Studies. The Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Administration) attended as the chief guest. Chaired by the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Professors Dr. Hailei Zhao and Dr. Eli from Shanghai University of Traditional and Chinese Medicine, China, presented keynote papers on cancer treatment. The second session included a special workshop on acupuncture.

  • A day-long breast cancer awareness program was organized by DUCSU. The Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Administration) attended as the chief guest. The program, organized in collaboration with BarDEMC General Hospital, carried the slogan “Save The Smile.”

  • A "Pepsodent Free Dental Campaign" was held for resident students at Rokeya Hall.

  • DUCSU and IEAJO jointly organized a day-long “Be a Lifesaver: First Aid Bootcamp” for hall students. Female participants received hands-on training in CPR, drowning, snakebites, fracture management, and self-hygiene. Certificates were issued at the end of the training.

  • A seminar titled “Bioinformatics-Driven Metagenomic Exploration of Bangladeshi Fermented Foods for the Discovery of Next-Generation Probiotics and Postbiotics with Direct Public Health Impact” was held at the Centre for Advanced Research in Sciences.

SDG 4: Quality Education

  • The “VisionX: AI-Powered National Innovation Challenge,” a national AI-based competition, will be held on 15 November 2025 at the Nawab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Building. The competition aims to increase youth engagement in technology innovation, encourage student interest in AI, and build a bridge between academia and industry. Students and technology innovators (up to 27 years old) from all universities and colleges in Bangladesh can participate. Interested participants and institutions can register at visionx.cse.du.ac.bd by 15 October 2025.

  • The certificate distribution ceremony for the 28th batch of the “Advanced Course on Research Methodology (ACRM)” was held at the Institute of Education and Research. The Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Administration) attended as the chief guest and distributed certificates and crests. Professionals from various sectors participated in the course. The IER regularly organizes ACRM programs, which are expected to play a key role in nurturing researchers, enhancing skills, and building a strong research culture at Dhaka University.

  • Times Higher Education (THE), the UK-based renowned education magazine, released the World University Ranking 2026. This year, Dhaka University ranks within 801–1000 globally, advancing 200 positions compared to last year (2025: 1001–1200). DU also retained its position as Bangladesh’s top university. The ranking covers 3,118 universities worldwide, evaluated on teaching, research environment, research quality, international outlook, and industry collaboration.

  • All departments/institutes of Dhaka University were requested to integrate the past ten years of foreign student data into the university database urgently, in connection with ranking purposes. Link: https://ssl.du.ac.bd/login

  • The 5th Forum on Chinese Language Education in Bangladesh, themed “Digital Intelligence and Localization Synergy—The Path to High-Quality Development of Chinese Language Education in Bangladesh,” was held at the Modern Languages Institute Auditorium. The Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Administration) attended as chief guest. The forum announced the establishment of the Bangladesh Chinese Language Teachers Association. Representatives of organizing and partner institutions signed the declaration. Two academic sessions were held after the opening ceremony.

SDG 5: Gender Equality

  • A workshop on weaving and handicrafts was held at Rokeya Hall to enhance the self-reliance and skills of female students. The Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Administration) attended as chief guest. Students learned various weaving techniques and handicrafts hands-on.

  • A five-day training workshop was conducted to enhance leadership skills of female students. Participants engaged in team-building, communication, and leadership development activities.

SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure

  • (Also listed under SDG 4) The AI-powered national competition aims to engage youth in technology innovation, increase student interest in AI, and bridge academia and industry.

  • (Also listed under SDG 3) The bioinformatics seminar aimed to enhance research potential and innovation in the discovery of next-generation probiotics and postbiotics.

SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals

  • Emeritus Professor Dr. Sir Walter Bodmer of the University of Oxford met with the Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University at his office. They exchanged views on modernizing DU’s education and research activities. The Vice-Chancellor briefed the guest on the university’s history and academic programs.

  • An international seminar titled “Human Genome: Cancer and Immunotherapy—An Odyssey of Sir Walter Bodmer, Emeritus Professor, University of Oxford” was organized jointly by the Faculty of Pharmacy and Incepta Pharmaceuticals Limited. Professor Bodmer presented the keynote paper.

  • With financial support from the Chinese government, the construction of the Bangladesh-China Friendship Hall for female students at Dhaka University, estimated at BDT 24.4 billion, is progressing. An official letter from the Economic Relations Division (ERD) was sent months ago through the Chinese Embassy in Dhaka. The Chinese government has approved the proposal. A Chinese expert team is expected to visit Dhaka soon for a feasibility study. The hall will accommodate 1,500 female students upon completion.

  • The Vice-Chancellor maintains regular communication with the Chinese Embassy in Dhaka to expedite the project.

  • To strengthen international collaboration, language education, and social innovation, Dhaka University signed two new agreements with the Kazuko Vuiya Welfare Trust (Japan) and Arvand Venture Capital Fund (Iran), enhancing its academic excellence, research, and social development programs.

  • The agreements with the Japanese Studies Department focus on promoting Japanese language education and fostering cooperation in social business initiatives.

  • The agreements were signed by the DU Treasurer, the founder and managing director of the Kazuko Vuiya Welfare Trust, and the CEO of Arvand Venture Capital Fund.

  • Michael Miller, EU Ambassador to Bangladesh, met with the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Administration) to discuss potential collaboration in new technologies, curriculum development, and knowledge exchange between Dhaka University and various European universities.

 

SDG 1: No Poverty

  • ইসলামের ইতিহাস ও সংস্কৃতি বিভাগের স্নাতকোত্তর পরীক্ষায় ক, খ ও গ গ্রুপের সর্বোচ্চ সিজিপিএ অর্জনকারী ৩ জন মেধাবী শিক্ষার্থীকে অধ্যাপক ড. হাবিবা খাতুন ট্রাস্ট ফান্ড বৃত্তি প্রদান করা হয়েছে। উপাচার্য শিক্ষার্থীদের হাতে বৃত্তির চেক তুলে দেন।
  • ঢাকা মেডিকেল কলেজের ২০২১-২০২২ শিক্ষাবর্ষের নিয়মিত প্রথম পেশাগত এম.বি.বি.এস. পরীক্ষার ফলাফলের ভিত্তিতে দু’জন শিক্ষার্থীর জন্য অধ্যাপক ডা. মো. দেলোয়ার হোসেন ট্রাস্ট ফান্ড থেকে এককালীন ৮,০০০/- (আট হাজার) টাকা করে বৃত্তি মঞ্জুর করা হয়েছে। শিক্ষার্থীরা হলেন: ১) অভিক মল্লিক, এম.বি.বি.এস. ৪র্থ বর্ষ, রেজি নং: ৭৪১৪ এবং ২) মেহেরীন রুবাইয়াত চৌধুরী, এম.বি.বি.এস. ৪র্থ বর্ষ, রেজি নং: ৭৫৯৮।
  • সদাচরণ, ক্লাসে নিয়মিত উপস্থিতি ও লেখাপড়ায় সন্তোষজনক অগ্রগতি সাপেক্ষে সমাজবিজ্ঞান বিভাগের ৪জন শিক্ষার্থীর জন্য ঋধুরষধঃঁহহবংংধ ওংষধস ধহফ ঝরৎধলঁষ ওংষধস ঞৎঁংঃ ঋঁহফ থেকে মাসিক ১,০০০/- (এক হাজার) টাকা হারে ০২ (দুই) কিস্তিতে ১ বছরের জন্য স্কলারশিপ মঞ্জুর করা হয়েছে। উল্লেখ্য, ১ম কিস্তির ৬,০০০/- (ছয় হাজার) টাকা উত্তোলনের পর ২য় কিস্তির অবশিষ্ট ৬,০০০/- (ছয় হাজার) টাকা বিভাগীয় চেয়ারম্যানের সুপারিশের প্রেক্ষিতে হিসাব পরিচালকের অফিস থেকে উত্তোলন করতে হবে।
  • জাপানের সুমিতমো কর্পোরেশন এশিয়া এন্ড ওসিনিয়া প্রাইভেট লি: কর্তৃপক্ষ ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ১০জন নিয়মিত ছাত্র-ছাত্রীকে বৃত্তি প্রদান করবে। এই বৃত্তির জন্য আন্ডারগ্র্যাজুয়েট প্রোগ্রামে ২০২২-২০২৩ শিক্ষাবর্ষে ১ম বর্ষে ভর্তিকৃত নিয়মিত শিক্ষার্থীদের কাছ থেকে নির্ধারিত ফরমে দরখাস্ত আহ্বান করা হয়েছে। ২০২২ সালের উচ্চ মাধ্যমিক/সমমান পরীক্ষায় উত্তীর্ণ শিক্ষার্থীরা বৃত্তির জন্য আবেদন করতে পারবে। আবেদনকারীদের ৪র্থ বিষয় বাদে এসএসসি এবং এইচএসসিতে ৪.৮০ জিপিএপ্রাপ্ত হতে হবে। আবেদন ফরম রেজিস্টার দফতরের শিক্ষা-৫ শাখা (কক্ষ নং- ২১২) থেকে অথবা ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ওয়েবসাইটে (www.du.ac.bd) প্রকাশিত বিজ্ঞপ্তি থেকে সংগ্রহ করা যাবে। আবেদন ফরম যথাযথভাবে পূরণ করে স্ব স্ব বিভাগীয় চেয়ারম্যান/ইনস্টিটিউটের পরিচালক এবং হল প্রাধ্যক্ষের স্বাক্ষর ও সীলমোহরসহ আগামী ২০ অক্টোবর ২০২৫ তারিখের মধ্যে রেজিস্টার দফতরের শিক্ষা-৫ শাখায় (কক্ষ নং-২১২) জমা দিতে হবে। আবেদনপত্রের সঙ্গে ২(দুই) কপি রঙিন ছবি, এসএসসি এবং এইচএসসি’র নম্বরপত্র, সার্টিফিকেট, অভিভাবকের আয়ের সনদ এবং বিভাগীয় প্রত্যয়ন পত্র সংযুক্ত করতে হবে। সদাচরণ, পড়াশোনায় সন্তোষজনক অগ্রগতি এবং নিয়মিত অধ্যয়ন সাপেক্ষে এই বৃত্তি পরবর্তী তিন বছর নবায়নযোগ্য।

  • সদাচরণ, ক্লাসে নিয়মিত উপস্থিতি ও লেখাপড়ায় সন্তোষজনক অগ্রগতি সাপেক্ষে বিভিন্ন বিভাগের শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য ড. মাকসুদুল আলম স্মৃতি ট্রাস্ট ফান্ড, প্রফেসর ডক্টর হিরণ¥য় সেনগুপ্ত ট্রাস্ট, সাঈদ আহমদ স্মারক বৃত্তি, ড. মো. আজিজুল হাকিম বৃত্তি, মরহুমা উম্মে আরেফা খাতুন বৃত্তি, মীর আনসার আলী ট্রাস্ট তহবিল ইত্যাদি থেকে এককালীন বা মাসিক বৃত্তি প্রদান করা হয়েছে।
  • রসায়ন বিভাগের ৫জন শিক্ষার্থীর জন্য Professor Emeritus Mofizuddin Ahmde-Begum Sufia Ahme Trust Fund বৃত্তি মঞ্জুর করা হয়েছে। প্রত্যেক শিক্ষার্থীকে এককালীন ১২,০০০/- (বারো হাজার) টাকা করে বৃত্তি প্রদান করা হবে।
  • ম্যানেজমেন্ট, একাউন্টিং, মার্কেটিং এবং ফিন্যান্স বিভাগের ছাত্রীদের মধ্যে সর্বোচ্চ সিজিপিএ প্রাপ্ত ৪জন ছাত্রীর জন্য জাতীয় অধ্যাপক আতোয়ার হোসেন স্মারক ট্রাস্ট তহবিল থেকে মাসিক ৩০০/- (তিনশত) টাকা হারে ১ বছরের জন্য বৃত্তি মঞ্জুর করা হয়েছে।

SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being

  • ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় ছাত্র নির্দেশনা ও পরামর্শদান দফর এবং এডুকেশনাল এন্ড কাউন্সেলিং সাইকোলজি বিভাগের যৌথ উদ্যোগে বিশ্ব মানসিক স্বাস্থ্য দিবস পালিত হয়েছে। প্রো-ভাইস চ্যান্সেলর (প্রশাসন) এক অনুষ্ঠানে প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত থেকে এ উপলক্ষ্যে দিনব্যাপী কর্মসূচির উদ্বোধন করেন। এবছর দিবসটির প্রতিপাদ্য হলো ‘বিপর্যয় ও জরুরি অবস্থায় মানসিক স্বাস্থ্য সেবা প্রাপ্তি’। দিনব্যাপী কর্মসূচির মধ্যে ছিল বিনামূল্যে কাউন্সেলিং সেবা, মনোবৈজ্ঞানিক মূল্যায়ন, মনোবৈজ্ঞানিক খেলা, মানসিক স্বাস্থ্য বিষয়ক বই প্রদর্শনী ও বিক্রয়, কর্মশালাসহ সচেতনতামূলক বিভিন্ন কার্যক্রম।
  • ফার্মেসী অনুষদ এবং সেন্টার ফর চায়না স্টাডিজের যৌথ উদ্যোগে "The Introduction of Traditional Chinese Medicine & Medical Practices" শীর্ষক দিনব্যাপী সেমিনার অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে। প্রো-ভাইস চ্যান্সেলর (প্রশাসন) অনুষ্ঠানে প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন । ফার্মেসী অনুষদের ডিনের সভাপতিত্বে ফার্মাসিউটিক্যাল কেমিস্ট্রি বিভাগের অধ্যাপক, চীনের সাংহায় ইউনিভার্সিটি অব ট্র্যাডিশনাল এন্ড চাইনিজ মেডিসিনের অধ্যাপক ড. হাইলি ঝাও এবং অধ্যাপক ড. ইলি এমডি ক্যান্সার চিকিৎসা বিষয়ে মূলপ্রবন্ধ উপস্থাপন করেন। সেমিনারের ২য় সেশনে আকুপাংচার চিকিৎসা পদ্ধতি বিষয়ে একটি বিশেষ কর্মশালা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়।
  • ডাকসু-এর উদ্যোগে ব্রেস্ট ক্যান্সার বিষয়ক দিনব্যাপী এক সচেতনতামূলক কর্মসূচি অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে। প্রো-ভাইস চ্যান্সেলর (প্রশাসন) অনুষ্ঠানে প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন। ‘Save The Smile’ স্লোগানকে ধারণ করে বারডেম জেনারেল হাসপাতালের সহযোগিতায় এই কর্মসূচির আয়োজন করা হয়।
  • রোকেয়া হলে আবাসিক শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য '' Pepsodent Free Dental Campaign” অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে।
  • ডাকসু ও ইএঐজও-এর যৌথ উদ্যোগে হলের শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য দিনব্যাপী ÒBe a Lifesaver: First Aid BootcampÓ শীর্ষক কর্মসূচি অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে। এই প্রশিক্ষণে অংশগ্রহণকারী নারী শিক্ষার্থীরা সিপিআর, ড্রাউনিং, স্নেকবাইট, ফ্র্যাকচার ম্যানেজমেন্ট ও সেলফ-হাইজিন বিষয়ে হাতে-কলমে প্রশিক্ষণ গ্রহণ করেন। প্রশিক্ষণ শেষে শিক্ষার্থীদের সার্টিফিকেট প্রদান করা হয়।
  • সেন্টার ফর এ্যাডভান্সড রিসার্চ ইন সায়েন্সেস-এ “Bioinformatics-Driven Metagenomic Exploration of Bangladeshi Fermented Foods for the Discovery of Next-Generation probiotics and postbiotics with Direct Public Health Impect ” শীর্ষক সেমিনার অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে।

SDG 4: Quality Education

  • ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় কম্পিউটার বিজ্ঞান ও প্রকৌশল বিভাগের উদ্যোগে ‘ভিশনএক্স : এআই পাওয়ার্ড ন্যাশনাল ইনোভেশন চ্যালেঞ্জ’ শীর্ষক কৃত্রিম বুদ্ধিমত্তাভিত্তিক জাতীয় প্রতিযোগিতা আগামী ১৫ নভেম্বর ২০২৫ শনিবার নবাব নওয়াব আলী চৌধুরী সিনেট ভবনে অনুষ্ঠিত হবে। দেশের প্রযুক্তি উদ্ভাবনে তরুণদের সংশ্লিষ্টতা বৃদ্ধি, শিক্ষার্থীদের কৃত্রিম বুদ্ধিমত্তা (AI)-এর প্রতি আগ্রহী করে তোলা এবং একাডেমিয়া ও ইন্ডাস্ট্রির মধ্যে সেতুবন্ধন তৈরি করার লক্ষ্যে দিনব্যাপী এই প্রতিযোগিতার আয়োজন করা হবে। কম্পিউটার বিজ্ঞান ও প্রকৌশল বিভাগের অডিটোরিয়ামে আয়োজিত এক সংবাদ সম্মেলনে প্রতিযোগিতার বিভিন্ন দিক তুলে ধরা হয়। বাংলাদেশ-এর সকল বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় ও কলেজের শিক্ষার্থী এবং প্রযুক্তি উদ্ভাবকগণ (সর্বোচ্চ বয়স ২৭ বছর) এ প্রতিযোগিতায় অংশ নিতে পারবেন। আগ্রহী শিক্ষার্থী ও শিল্পপ্রতিষ্ঠানগুলো visionx.cse.du.ac.bd ওয়েবসাইটে নিবন্ধন করতে পারবেন। নিবন্ধন প্রক্রিয়া চলবে আগামী ১৫ অক্টোবর ২০২৫ পর্যন্ত।
  • "অ্যাডভান্সড কোর্স অফ রিসার্চ মেথডোলজি (এসিআরএম)" শীর্ষক প্রশিক্ষণ কোর্সের ২৮তম ব্যাচের সার্টিফিকেট প্রদান অনুষ্ঠান শিক্ষা ও গবেষণা ইনস্টিটিউটে অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। প্রো-ভাইস চ্যান্সেলর (প্রশাসন) অনুষ্ঠানে প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত থেকে অংশগ্রহণকারীদের মাঝে সার্টিফিকেট এবং ক্রেস্ট বিতরণ করেন। উল্লেখ্য, বিভিন্ন খাতের পেশাজীবী এই প্রশিক্ষণ কোর্সে অংশগ্রহণ করেন। আইইআর কর্তৃপক্ষ এসিআরএম প্রোগ্রামটি নিয়মিতভাবে আয়োজন করছে। গবেষকদের পরিচর্যা, দক্ষতা বৃদ্ধি এবং ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে একটি শক্তিশালী গবেষণা সংস্কৃতি গড়ে তুলতে এ প্রোগ্রাম গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা রাখবে বলে আশা করা যাচ্ছে।
  • যুক্তরাজ্যভিত্তিক খ্যাতনামা শিক্ষা সাময়িকী ‘টাইমস হায়ার এডুকেশন’ (THE) ওয়ার্ল্ড ইউনিভার্সিটি র‌্যাঙ্কিং ২০২৬ প্রকাশ করেছে। এ বছর বিশ্ব র‌্যাঙ্কিংয়ে ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় ৮০১ থেকে ১০০০ এর মধ্যে অবস্থান করে আগের বছরের তুলনায় ২০০ ধাপ এগিয়েছে। গত বছর এই র‌্যাঙ্কিংয়ে ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের অবস্থান ছিল ১০০১ থেকে ১২০০ এর মধ্যে। একই সঙ্গে ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় যৌথভাবে বাংলাদেশের সেরা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় হিসেবে স্থান ধরে রেখেছে। আজ ৯ অক্টোবর টাইমস হায়ার এডুকেশনের অফিসিয়াল ওয়েবসাইটে এই তথ্য প্রকাশ করা হয়। র‌্যাঙ্কিংয়ে বিশ্বের বিভিন্ন দেশের মোট ৩ হাজার ১১৮টি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় স্থান করে নিয়েছে। শিক্ষা, গবেষণার পরিবেশ, গবেষণার মান, আন্তর্জাতিক দৃষ্টিভঙ্গি ও শিল্পক্ষেত্রের সঙ্গে সহযোগিতা সূচকের ওপর ভিত্তি করে র‌্যাঙ্কিং করা হয়েছে।
  • ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের সকল বিভাগ/ইনস্টিটিউটে অধ্যয়নরত বিদেশি শিক্ষার্থীদের গত ১০ বছরের তথ্য জরুরিভাবে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ডাটাবেজে সংযুক্তির জন্য অনুরোধ করা হয়েছে। বিষয়টি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের র‌্যাঙ্কিং-এর সঙ্গে সংযুক্ত। লিংক : https://ssl.du.ac.bd/login
  • ‘ডিজিটাল বুদ্ধিমত্তা এবং স্থানীয়করণের সংযুক্তি-বাংলাদেশে চীনা ভাষা শিক্ষার উচ্চমানের উন্নয়নের যাত্রা’ প্রতিপাদ্যকে সামনে রেখে বাংলাদেশে চীনা ভাষা শিক্ষা বিষয়ক ৫ম ফোরাম আধুনিক ভাষা ইনস্টিটিউটের অডিটোরিয়ামে অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। অনুষ্ঠানের উদ্বোধনী পর্বে প্রো-ভাইস চ্যান্সেলর (প্রশাসন) প্রধান অতিথি ছিলেন। অনুষ্ঠানে Bangladesh Chinese Language Teachers Association প্রতিষ্ঠার উদ্যোগ ঘোষণা করা হয়। এ উপলক্ষ্যে আয়োজক ও সহযোগী প্রতিষ্ঠানের প্রতিনিধিরা স্বাক্ষর করেন। উদ্বোধনী পর্ব শেষে অনুষ্ঠিত হয় দুটি একাডেমিক সেশন।

SDG 5: Gender Equality

  • ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় রোকেয়া হলে নারী শিক্ষার্থীদের স্বনির্ভরতা ও দক্ষতা বৃদ্ধির জন্য বুনন ও হস্তশিল্পে কর্মশালা অনুষ্ঠিত। প্রো-ভাইস চ্যান্সেলর (প্রশাসন) প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন। এই কর্মশালায় শিক্ষার্থীরা হাতে-কলমে বিভিন্ন বুনন পদ্ধতি ও হস্তশিল্প শিখেছেন।
  • নারী শিক্ষার্থীদের নেতৃত্বের গুণাবলী বৃদ্ধির লক্ষ্যে ৫ দিনব্যাপী প্রশিক্ষণ কর্মশালা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। এতে শিক্ষার্থীরা দলীয় কাজ, যোগাযোগ দক্ষতা ও নেতৃত্বের গুণাবলী উন্নয়নের বিভিন্ন কার্যক্রমে অংশগ্রহণ করেন।

SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure

  • (Also listed under SDG 4) দেশের প্রযুক্তি উদ্ভাবনে তরুণদের সংশ্লিষ্টতা বৃদ্ধি, শিক্ষার্থীদের কৃত্রিম বুদ্ধিমত্তা (AI)-এর প্রতি আগ্রহী করে তোলা এবং একাডেমিয়া ও ইন্ডাস্ট্রির মধ্যে সেতুবন্ধন তৈরি করা।

SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals

  • যুক্তরাজ্যের অক্সফোর্ড বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ইমেরিটাস অধ্যাপক ড. স্যার ওয়াল্টার বোডমার ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের উপাচার্যের সঙ্গে তাঁর কার্যালয়ে সাক্ষাৎ করেন। সাক্ষাৎকালে তাঁরা ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের শিক্ষা ও গবেষণা কার্যক্রমের আধুনিকায়নের বিষয়ে মতবিনিময় করেন। উপাচার্য ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের সংক্ষিপ্ত ইতিহাস এবং এর শিক্ষা ও গবেষণা কার্যক্রম সম্পর্কে অতিথিকে অবহিত করেন।
  • ফার্মেসী অনুষদ এবং ইনসেপ্টা ফার্মাসিউটিক্যাল লিমিটেডের যৌথ উদ্যোগে ÒHuman Genome: Cancer and Immunotherapy An Odyssey of Sir Walter Bodmer, Emeritus Professor, University of OxfordÓ শীর্ষক এক আন্তর্জাতিক সেমিনার অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। যুক্তরাজ্যের অক্সফোর্ড বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ইমেরিটাস অধ্যাপক ড. স্যার ওয়াল্টার বোডমার সেমিনারে মূল প্রবন্ধ উপস্থাপন করেন।
  • চীন সরকারের আর্থিক সহযোগিতায় ২শ’ ৪৪ কোটি টাকা প্রাক্কলিত ব্যয়ে ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ছাত্রীদের জন্য বাংলাদেশ-চীন মৈত্রী হল নির্মাণ প্রকল্প বাস্তবায়নের কাজ এগিয়ে চলেছে। এই হল নির্মাণ প্রকল্প বাস্তবায়নের লক্ষ্যে অর্থনৈতিক সম্পর্ক বিভাগ (ইআরডি)-এর একটি অফিসিয়াল চিঠি কয়েক মাস আগে ঢাকাস্থ চীনা দূতাবাসের মাধ্যমে চীন সরকারের সংশ্লিষ্ট কর্তৃপক্ষের কাছে প্রেরণ করা হয়। চীন সরকার ইতিমধ্যেই এই প্রকল্প প্রস্তাব অনুমোদন করেছে। বর্তমানে অভ্যন্তরীণ প্রক্রিয়া চলমান রয়েছে। এই প্রক্রিয়া শেষে চীনের একটি বিশেষজ্ঞ দল Feasibility Study-এর জন্য শিগগিরই ঢাকায় আসবে বলে আশা করা হচ্ছে। প্রসঙ্গত, এ প্রকল্প বাস্তবায়িত হলে ১ হাজার ৫শ’ ছাত্রীর আবাসনের ব্যবস্থা হবে।
  • ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের উপাচার্য এই প্রকল্পের কার্যক্রম ত্বরান্বিত করতে ঢাকাস্থ চীনা দূতাবাসের সঙ্গে নিয়মিত যোগাযোগ রক্ষা করে চলেছেন।
  • আন্তর্জাতিক সহযোগিতা, ভাষা শিক্ষা ও সামাজিক উদ্ভাবনের ক্ষেত্রকে আরও সমৃদ্ধ করতে ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় নতুন দুটি চুক্তি স্বাক্ষর করেছে। জাপানের কাজুকো ভুইয়া ওয়েলফেয়ার ট্রাস্ট এবং ইরানের আরভ্যান্ড ভেঞ্চার ক্যাপিটাল ফান্ড-এর সঙ্গে পৃথক দুটি সমঝোতা স্মারক স্বাক্ষরের মাধ্যমে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় তার একাডেমিক উৎকর্ষ, গবেষণা এবং সামাজিক উন্নয়ন কার্যক্রমে নতুন মাত্রা যোগ করেছে।
  • জাপানিজ স্টাডিজ বিভাগে জাপানি ভাষা শিক্ষার মানোন্নয়ন ও প্রসার এবং সামাজিক ব্যবসা (Social Business) বিষয়ে পারস্পরিক সহযোগিতা বৃদ্ধির লক্ষ্যে এসব সমঝোতা স্মারক স্বাক্ষরিত হয়েছে।
  • ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের কোষাধ্যক্ষ এবং কাজুকো ভুইয়া ওয়েলফেয়ার ট্রাস্টের প্রতিষ্ঠাতা ও ব্যবস্থাপনা পরিচালক এবং আরভ্যান্ড ভেঞ্চার ক্যাপিটাল ফান্ডের প্রধান নির্বাহী কর্মকর্তা (CEO) চুক্তিতে স্বাক্ষর করেন।
  • বাংলাদেশে নিযুক্ত ইউরোপিয়ান ইউনিয়নের রাষ্ট্রদূত মাইকেল মিলার প্রো-ভাইস চ্যান্সেলর (প্রশাসন)-এর সঙ্গে সাক্ষাৎ করেন। ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় এবং ইউরোপের বিভিন্ন বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের মধ্যে নতুন প্রযুক্তি, পাঠ্যক্রম উন্নয়ন এবং জ্ঞান ও অভিজ্ঞতা বিনিময় বিষয়ে শিক্ষা ও গবেষণা সহযোগিতা জোরদার করার সম্ভাব্যতা নিয়ে তারা আলোচনা করেন।
