SDG in Action at DU: November 2025

SDG 1: No Poverty

  • The Health Economics Institute and the Department of Chemistry have established two separate new trust funds worth nearly 10 million BDT to provide scholarships to students. The check handover ceremony for the ‘Nurun Nahar Memorial Trust Fund’ and the ‘K. M. A. Malik Trust Fund’ was attended by the Vice-Chancellor as the chief guest.

  • From the income of the Nurun Nahar Memorial Trust Fund, each year the female student in the MA program of every department under the Faculty of Arts who achieves the highest CGPA in the BA (Honours) examination will receive a scholarship of 4,000 BDT per month, totaling 48,000 BDT per year.

  • From the income of the K. M. A. Malik Trust Fund, scholarships will be awarded to the students of the Department of Chemistry who achieve the highest and second-highest CGPA in the undergraduate (Honours) examination.

  • The Asefa Haque Memorial Trust Fund will also provide regular scholarships to students.

  • In the 2024–2025 academic year, 150 regular undergraduate first-year students will receive the ‘Akij-Monwara Education Assistance Trust Scholarship’.

SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being

  • Following an emergency meeting of the Dhaka University Syndicate, and considering the recent earthquake and subsequent aftershocks, all classes and examinations at the university will remain suspended until 6 December 2025 to prioritize students’ physical and mental well-being. University offices will remain open as usual.

  • Technical inspections, evaluations, and monitoring of various residential halls and buildings after the earthquake are ongoing by a technical sub-committee composed of experts from BUET.

  • The sub-committee includes BUET specialists, relevant hall principals, wardens, residential teachers, university engineers, and representatives from DUCSU and the hall councils.

  • Under the chairmanship of the Vice-Chancellor, a meeting reviewed the 2008 and 2015 Structural Engineering Technical Assessment Reports of Haji Muhammad Muhsin Hall prepared by BUET’s Bureau of Research, Testing and Consultation (BRTC).

  • A new CCTV camera has been installed on the fourth floor of the south building of Kabi Jasim Uddin Hall to ensure student safety.

  • In collaboration with the National Heart Institute and Hospital, a CPR and cardiac fitness seminar was organized to raise awareness among students, teachers, and staff about heart disease prevention.

  • A day-long “Be A Lifesaver: First Aid Bootcamp” training program on health awareness and first aid was conducted.

  • The Career Empowerment Forum (CEF) organized a seminar on “Mental Health and Self-Development” for awareness purposes.

  • The hall administration, with support from Nirapaya.com, conducted a free health camp for students.

  • Facilities such as wheelchairs, mosquito control, cleanliness drives, and sports infrastructure improvements were provided for injured or ill students.

  • Blood donor recognition ceremonies were held by Dr. Muhammad Shahidullah Hall and Haji Muhammad Muhsin Hall units.

  • A “Personal Health and Hygiene Management” awareness event was organized at Shamsun Nahar Hall Auditorium.

  • The Quantum Foundation conducted a seminar on a Total Fitness Program for teachers and students of the Faculty of Pharmacy.

SDG 4: Quality Education

  • In the UK-based QS Asia University Rankings, Dhaka University ranked first among universities in Bangladesh.

  • The Ambassador of Ireland and the Northern Ireland Police Commissioner met with the Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University.

  • Seminars and workshops were held by the Department of Banking and Insurance.

  • A Diamond Jubilee Lecture was held to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Department of Islamic History and Culture.

  • Committees were formed to introduce courses on ethics and human values and organize related workshops.

  • The Dean’s Award was given by the Faculty of Engineering and Technology.

  • Freshman welcome and farewell ceremonies were held in the Department of Linguistics.

  • Freshman welcome and farewell ceremonies were held by the Institute of Statistical Research and Training.

  • First-year undergraduate students of the Department of Pharmacy were welcomed in a formal ceremony.

  • A training program “Stata for Applied Statistics and Data Science” was conducted.

  • Dhaka University achieved 52nd position in the Times Higher Education Interdisciplinary Science Rankings.

  • Dhaka University became champion in VisionX: AI-Powered National Innovation Challenge.

  • Dean’s Awards were given to students in the Bachelor of Professional Pharmacy examinations.

  • A certificate course on “Effective Professional Communication” was inaugurated.

  • Publication festival of KARAS was held.

  • Debates in the Department of Islamic Studies and workshops in the Department of History of Art were conducted.

  • Freshman welcome and farewell ceremonies were held in the Department of Psychology.

  • Director appointment processes for higher research centers are ongoing via search committees.

  • A Collaborative Research Agreement was signed with Japan’s Kagawa University.

  • A Memorandum of Understanding for Software Training was signed between Dhaka University and Odoo Middle East DWC-LLC.

  • Meetings were held to improve MBBS and BDS education standards.

  • “Training of Trainers (ToT) on Supply-chain Cybersecurity Risk” training was conducted in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering.

  • Day-long national conferences and international seminars were held.

SDG 5: Gender Equality

  • The Women and Gender Studies Department organized a day-long workshop titled “Preventing Gender-Based Violence in University Campuses: Developing A Holistic Approach.” Teachers, researchers, and students from various departments participated. The Head of Department delivered the keynote, and a special guest on women’s policy attended. Topics discussed included sexual harassment, mental abuse, social awareness, and violence prevention.

  • For seat allocation of students of Rokeya Hall for the 2024–2025 session, interviews with students, legal guardians, and local guardians were conducted. The hall administration determined seat allocation policies considering students’ eligibility, social and educational background.

  • At Bangladesh-Kuwait Friendship Hall, a Bullying and Ragging & Sexual Harassment Complaint Box was installed. Students can submit complaints directly, and the university administration ensures confidentiality and safety in handling complaints.

SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth

  • The “Effective Professional Communication” training course, launched by the Industry Collaboration and Employment Committee (ICEC), is fully operational. Students are trained in modern professional communication, workplace behavior, presentation skills, and professional email management. The Vice-Chancellor spoke on the course’s importance at the inauguration. The Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Administration) and faculty members were also present. The course supports students’ employability and professional skill development.

  • The Faculty of Earth and Environmental Sciences will hold a Career Festival & Research Fair. Under the Dean’s chairmanship, a meeting with committee heads, departmental chairs, and secretaries was held to organize the event. Students will learn about industrial, commercial, and research opportunities and present their projects in exhibitions.

SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure

  • Renovation and repair work for DU buildings worth 14.9 crore BDT will commence. Renovation of 175 rooms at Haji Muhammad Muhsin Hall continues. All building architecture and structural arrangements, service line repairs, water tank refurbishment, electricity supply improvements, and safety measures will be strengthened.

  • Under a five-year development project: 6 academic buildings, 4 residential halls for 2,600 female students, 5 residential halls for 5,100 male students, 2 residential buildings for teachers and officers, 5 other buildings (including administrative), 4 water reservoirs, service line repair/maintenance, 1 sports field, 2 public toilets, drainage, and waste management will be undertaken.

  • Appointment process for architectural and structural consultants for 31 buildings has begun. Project Director has been appointed. Annual Procurement Plan (APP) is published on the e-GP portal.

  • An Atomic Force Microscope has been delivered to relevant science faculties and departments for research purposes.

SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities

  • Based on good conduct, regular class attendance, and satisfactory academic progress, 8 students of the Department of Physics for the 2022–2023 and 2023–2024 academic years will receive the Bir Muktijoddha Amena Jaman Memorial Trust Fund Scholarship.

  • To celebrate the department’s 75th anniversary, 75 students received special scholarships from the former students’ association, totaling 84 scholarships across the department.

  • In 2024–2025, 150 regular first-year undergraduate students will receive the Akij-Monwara Education Assistance Trust Scholarship.

  • 63 female students across various departments and years received scholarships from the Kabi Sufia Kamal Hall Trust Fund.

SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities

  • Regular activities are being conducted for hall cleanliness, drain and cornice cleaning, mosquito control, and sports field development. Regular cleanliness drives ensure a safe and clean environment for students.

  • At Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall, a fridge has been installed and Wi-Fi set up in the reading room to provide students with a more convenient environment and modern educational resources.

  • Hall cleanliness, mosquito control, and seat management activities have been completed. Administration ensures proper maintenance and students’ comfort.

  • Coconut trees in hall gardens have been maintained and distributed among students, promoting environmental awareness and proper use of natural resources.

  • At Bangladesh-Kuwait Friendship Hall, dining, gas pipelines, seating, and mosquito control activities have been completed.

  • At Kabi Sufia Kamal Hall, CCTV installation, beautification, water tank cleaning, furniture, and study tables have been completed.

  • At Amar Ekushey Hall, the “Novoneel” futsal ground has been constructed, and related infrastructure development has been completed.

  • Dhaka University’s broader development projects continue, with 31 buildings, halls, drainage, waste management, and reservoir renovations fully underway.

SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production

  • Environmentally conscious activities have been implemented in various faculties and departments. Students are being made aware of responsible use of paper, water, electricity, and plastic.

  • Rules for separating biodegradable and recyclable waste in residential halls have been introduced.

  • Students are trained to adopt environmentally friendly practices during research and lab work.

SDG 13: Climate Action

  • Energy-efficient measures have been enhanced in university residential halls and labs, including LED lighting, sensor-based electricity management, and solar energy projects.

  • Environmentally friendly research activities and campus tree planting initiatives have been undertaken.

  • Workshops, seminars, and debate competitions are being organized to raise students’ awareness about climate change.

SDG 14: Life Below Water

  • Dhaka University has signed MoUs with various international and local organizations to reduce water pollution, conserve aquatic life, and conduct research activities.

  • Awareness among students about the importance of aquatic biodiversity is being increased. Through labs and projects, water quality testing, fish species conservation, and plastic pollution reduction activities are conducted.

  • Regular clean-up drives are held around campus water bodies and ponds, with active participation from students.

SDG 15: Life on Land

  • Through the initiative of the Dhaka University Dawah Circle, free saplings were distributed during a 4-day winter book fair. Students plant these saplings at their own spaces, promoting environmental awareness.

  • Coconut trees in hall gardens have been maintained and distributed among students, encouraging conservation of natural resources and participation in eco-friendly activities.

  • At Kabi Jasim Uddin Hall, all activities including scholarships, garden maintenance, shoe rack installation, cleanliness drives, and removal of unused items have been completed.

SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions

  • Under the initiative of DUCSU, a representative conference of elected representatives of DUCSU and hall councils was held in 2025, successfully completing all proceedings, speeches, and arrangements.

  • An investigative committee has been formed, and detailed decisions taken, to identify those involved in illegal and violent incidents on campus between 15 July and 5 August 2024 and to bring them under administrative measures.

  • General meetings with female students and complaint management activities have been strengthened.

  • Administrative decisions have been taken to revise and reprint Volumes 2 and 3 of the Dhaka University Calendar.

  • For Shaheed Buddhijibi Day (14 December 2025) and Victory Day (16 December 2025), the university authority has undertaken multiple programs. For Shaheed Buddhijibi Day, black flags were hoisted on important buildings including the Vice-Chancellor’s building, gatherings were held at the base of the Unconquered Bengal statue, and floral wreaths were offered at the central mosque, residential halls, and memorials. For Victory Day, the national flag was hoisted, gatherings were held at the Eternal Memorial Square, and floral wreaths were offered at Savar National Memorial. Prayer sessions were conducted at Bad-asr Mosque and other religious sites.

SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals

  • Tarunno Festival 2026 — jointly organized by Dhaka University and DUCSU, with students participating in cultural, educational, and social activities.

  • Workshops were conducted with participation from various universities and fine arts institutions to enhance students’ artistic, cultural, and educational skills.

  • A Collaborative Research Agreement was signed with Japan’s Kagawa University. Under this agreement, both universities will jointly conduct projects and research activities, and publish results. MS and PhD students will participate in research activities.

  • A MoU for Software Training was signed between Dhaka University and Odoo Middle East DWC-LLC, providing free training to students and enhancing future professional skills.

  • A Co-Branded Card MoU was signed between Dhaka University and Pubali Bank PLC.

  • Through partnerships with international organizations, trust funds, and volunteer initiatives, the university provides scholarships, grants, and support to students.

 

SDG 1: No Poverty (দারিদ্র্য বিমোচন)

  • স্বাস্থ্য অর্থনীতি ইনস্টিটিউট এবং রসায়ন বিভাগের শিক্ষার্থীদের বৃত্তি প্রদানের লক্ষ্যে প্রায় ১ কোটি টাকার পৃথক দু’টি নতুন ট্রাস্ট ফান্ড গঠন করা হয়েছে। ‘নুরুন নাহার স্মৃতি ট্রাস্ট ফান্ড’ এবং ‘কে. এম. এ. মালিক ট্রাস্ট ফান্ড’-এর চেক হস্তান্তর অনুষ্ঠানে উপাচার্য প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন।
  • নুরুন নাহার স্মৃতি ট্রাস্ট ফান্ড-এর আয় থেকে প্রতিবছর কলা অনুষদভুক্ত প্রত্যেক বিভাগের এম.এ. শ্রেণিতে অধ্যয়নরত ছাত্রীদের মধ্যে বি.এ. (সম্মান) পরীক্ষায় সর্বোচ্চ সিজিপিএ অর্জনকারী ছাত্রীকে মাসিক ৪ হাজার টাকা হারে বছরে মোট ৪৮ হাজার টাকা বৃত্তি প্রদান করা হবে।
  • কে. এম. এ. মালিক ট্রাস্ট ফান্ড-এর আয় থেকে রসায়ন বিভাগের স্নাতক (সম্মান) পরীক্ষায় সর্বোচ্চ ও দ্বিতীয় সর্বোচ্চ সিজিপিএ অর্জনকারী শিক্ষার্থীদের বৃত্তি প্রদান করা হবে।
  • আসেফা হক মেমোরিয়াল ট্রাস্ট ফান্ড-এর আয় থেকেও শিক্ষার্থীদের নিয়মিত বৃত্তি প্রদান করা হবে।
  • ২০২৪-২০২৫ শিক্ষাবর্ষে ১ম বর্ষ আন্ডারগ্র্যাজুয়েট প্রোগ্রামে অধ্যয়নরত ১৫০জন নিয়মিত ছাত্র-ছাত্রীকে ‘আকিজ-মনোয়ারা শিক্ষা সহায়তা ট্রাস্ট বৃত্তি’ প্রদান করা হবে।

SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being (সুস্বাস্থ্য ও কল্যাণ)

  • ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় সিন্ডিকেটের জরুরি সভার সিদ্ধান্ত মোতাবেক সাম্প্রতিক ভূমিকম্প ও তৎপরবর্তী ঝাঁকুনি (Aftershock)-এর কারণে শিক্ষার্থীদের শারীরিক ও মানসিক আঘাতের বিষয়টি বিবেচনা করে ও তাদের সার্বিক নিরাপত্তার দিক সর্বাধিক গুরুত্ব দিয়ে ৬ ডিসেম্বর ২০২৫ পর্যন্ত বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের সকল ক্লাস ও পরীক্ষা বন্ধ রাখার সিদ্ধান্ত নেয়া হয়। বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের অফিসসমূহ যথারীতি খোলা থাকবে।
  • ভূমিকম্প পরবর্তী বিভিন্ন আবাসিক হল ও ভবনের কারিগরি নিরীক্ষণ, মূল্যায়ন ও মনিটরিংয়ের জন্য বুয়েটের বিশেষজ্ঞ সদস্যদের সমন্বয়ে গঠিত কারিগরি সাব-কমিটির বিভিন্ন হল ও হোস্টেল পরিদর্শন অব্যাহত রয়েছে।
  • সাব-কমিটিতে বুয়েটের বিশেষজ্ঞ, সংশ্লিষ্ট হল প্রাধ্যক্ষ, ওয়ার্ডেন, আবাসিক শিক্ষক, বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের প্রকৌশলী এবং ডাকসু ও হল সংসদের প্রতিনিধিদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত করা হয়েছে।
  • উপাচার্যের সভাপতিত্বে এক সভায় বুয়েটের Bureau of Research, Testing and Consultation (BRTC) প্রণীত ২০০৮ ও ২০১৫ সালের হাজী মুহম্মদ মুহসীন হলের অবকাঠামোগত ‘প্রকৌশল কারিগরি মূল্যায়ন প্রতিবেদন’ পর্যালোচনা করা হয়।
  • উপস্থিত শিক্ষার্থীদের নিরাপত্তা নিশ্চিত করার লক্ষ্যে কবি জসীম উদ্দীন হলে দক্ষিণ ভবনের চতুর্থ তলায় নতুন সিসিটিভি স্থাপন করা হয়েছে।
  • ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ছাত্র-শিক্ষক-কর্মকর্তা-কর্মচারীদের হৃদরোগ প্রতিরোধে সচেতনতা তৈরির লক্ষ্যে জাতীয় হৃদরোগ ইনস্টিটিউট ও হাসপাতালের সহযোগিতায় জীবন রক্ষাকারী সিপিআর ট্রেনিং ও কার্ডিয়াক ফিটনেস সেমিনার আয়োজন করা হয়।
  • “Be A Lifesaver: First Aid Bootcamp” শীর্ষক স্বাস্থ্য সচেতনতা ও প্রাথমিক চিকিৎসা বিষয়ক দিনব্যাপী প্রশিক্ষণ কর্মসূচি অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে।

  • আহত ও রোগাক্রান্ত শিক্ষার্থীদের হল চত্বরে চলাচলের জন্য হুইল চেয়ার সরবরাহ, মশক নিধন কার্যক্রম, পরিচ্ছন্নতা অভিযান ও খেলাধুলার অবকাঠামো উন্নয়ন সংক্রান্ত কার্যক্রম।
  • ড. মুহম্মদ শহীদুল্লাহ হল এবং হাজী মুহম্মদ মুহসীন হল ইউনিট বাঁধনের উদ্যোগে রক্তদাতা সম্মাননা অনুষ্ঠান অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে।
  • শামসুন নাহার হল অডিটোরিয়ামে স্বাস্থ্য সচেতনতা বিষয়ক “পার্সোনাল হেলথ এন্ড হাইজেন ম্যানেজমেন্ট” অনুষ্ঠানের আয়োজন করা হয়।
  • কোয়ান্টাম ফাউন্ডেশনের উদ্যোগে ফার্মেসী অনুষদের শিক্ষক এবং শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য টোটাল ফিটনেস প্রোগ্রাম বিষয়ক এক সেমিনার অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে।

SDG 4: Quality Education (মানসম্মত শিক্ষা)

  • যুক্তরাজ্যভিত্তিক কিউএস এশিয়া ইউনিভার্সিটি র‌্যাঙ্কিংয়ে ঢাবি বাংলাদেশের বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়সমূহের মধ্যে শীর্ষ স্থান অধিকার করেছে।
  • আয়ারল্যান্ডের রাষ্ট্রদূত এবং উত্তর আয়ারল্যান্ডের পুলিশ ন্যায়পাল ঢাবির উপাচার্যের সঙ্গে সাক্ষাৎ করেছেন।
  • ব্যাংকিং এন্ড ইন্স্যুরেন্স বিভাগের সেমিনার ও কর্মশালা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে।
  • ইসলামের ইতিহাস ও সংস্কৃতি বিভাগের ৭৫ বছর পূর্তি উপলক্ষ্যে Diamond Jubilee Lecture আয়োজন করা হয়েছে।
  • নৈতিকতা ও মানবিক মূল্যবোধ শিক্ষা বিষয়ক কোর্স চালু এবং কর্মশালা আয়োজনের জন্য কমিটি গঠন করা হয়েছে।
  • ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং এন্ড টেকনোলজি অনুষদের ডিন’স অ্যাওয়ার্ড প্রদান করা হয়েছে।
  • ভাষাবিজ্ঞান বিভাগের নবীন বরণ ও বিদায় সংবর্ধনা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে।
  • পরিসংখ্যান গবেষণা ও শিক্ষণ ইনস্টিটিউটের নবীন বরণ ও বিদায় সংবর্ধনা অনুষ্ঠান অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে।
  • ফার্মেসী বিভাগের ১ম বর্ষ আন্ডারগ্র্যাজুয়েট শিক্ষার্থীদের বরণ অনুষ্ঠান অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে।

  • জাপানের Kagawa University-এর সঙ্গে Collaborative Research Agreement স্বাক্ষরিত হয়েছে।
  • ঢাবি এবং Odoo Middle East DWC-LLC-এর মধ্যে সফটওয়্যার প্রশিক্ষণের সমঝোতা স্মারক স্বাক্ষরিত হয়েছে।
  • MBBS ও BDS শিক্ষার মানোন্নয়নের জন্য মতবিনিময় সভা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে।

12. উইমেন এন্ড জেন্ডার স্টাডিজ বিভাগের উদ্যোগে ‘Preventing Gender-Based Violence in University Campuses: Developing A Holistic Approach’ শীর্ষক দিনব্যাপী এক কর্মশালা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে। কর্মশালায় বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের বিভিন্ন বিভাগের শিক্ষক, গবেষক ও শিক্ষার্থীরা অংশগ্রহণ করেন। অনুষ্ঠানে মূল বক্তৃতা দেন বিভাগীয় প্রধান এবং বিশেষ অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন নারী বিষয়ক নীতিনির্ধারক। কর্মশালায় যৌন হয়রানি, মানসিক নির্যাতন, সামাজিক সচেতনতা ও সহিংসতা প্রতিরোধ বিষয়ে বিস্তারিত আলোচনা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়।

14. রোকেয়া হলের ২০২৪-২০২৫ সেশনের শিক্ষার্থীদের সিট বরাদ্দের লক্ষ্যে শিক্ষার্থী, বৈধ অভিভাবক ও স্থানীয় অভিভাবকের সাক্ষাৎকার অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে। এই সাক্ষাৎকারের মাধ্যমে হল প্রশাসন শিক্ষার্থীদের প্রাপ্যতা, সামাজিক ও শিক্ষাগত প্রেক্ষাপট বিবেচনা করে সিট বরাদ্দের নীতিমালা নির্ধারণ করেছে।

17. বাংলাদেশ-কুয়েত মৈত্রী হলে ‘বুলিং এন্ড র্যাগিং’ ও ‘যৌন হয়রানি নিপীড়ন’ প্রতিরোধ অভিযোগ বক্স স্থাপন করা হয়েছে। শিক্ষার্থীরা এ বক্সের মাধ্যমে সরাসরি সমস্যা বা অভিযোগ দাখিল করতে পারবেন। বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় প্রশাসন অভিযোগ প্রক্রিয়ার নিয়মাবলী, গোপনীয়তা এবং নিরাপত্তার বিষয়গুলো নিশ্চিত করেছে।

SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth (শালীন কাজ ও অর্থনৈতিক প্রবৃদ্ধি)

3. Industry Collaboration and Employment Committee (ICEC) কর্তৃক চালু করা “Effective Professional Communication” প্রশিক্ষণ কোর্সের পুরো কার্যক্রম। এই কোর্সে শিক্ষার্থীরা আধুনিক পেশাগত যোগাযোগ, অফিসে আচরণ, প্রেজেন্টেশন দক্ষতা ও প্রফেশনাল ইমেইল পরিচালনার প্রশিক্ষণ পান। উদ্বোধনী অনুষ্ঠানে উপাচার্য উপস্থিত থেকে প্রশিক্ষণ কোর্সের গুরুত্বের উপর বক্তব্য প্রদান করেন। প্রো-ভাইস চ্যান্সেলর (প্রশাসন) এবং সংশ্লিষ্ট অনুষদের শিক্ষকবৃন্দও উপস্থিত ছিলেন। কোর্সটি শিক্ষার্থীদের কর্মসংস্থানের প্রস্তুতি ও পেশাগত দক্ষতা বৃদ্ধিতে সহায়তা করবে।

26. আর্থ এন্ড এনভায়রনমেন্টাল সায়েন্সেস অনুষদের উদ্যোগে Career Festival & Research Fair অনুষ্ঠিত হবে। এ উপলক্ষ্যে ডিনের সভাপতিত্বে একটি সভা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। সভায় অনুষ্ঠানের জন্য গঠিত কমিটির আহ্বায়ক, অনুষদভুক্ত সকল বিভাগের চেয়ারম্যান এবং সদস্য সচিব উপস্থিত ছিলেন। এই Career Festival-এ শিক্ষার্থীরা বিভিন্ন শিল্প, বাণিজ্য ও গবেষণার সুযোগ সম্পর্কে তথ্য পাবে, এবং গবেষণা প্রদর্শনীতে নিজেদের প্রজেক্ট উপস্থাপন করবে।

SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure (উদ্যোগ, উদ্ভাবন ও অবকাঠামো)

• ১৪৯ কোটি টাকা ব্যয়ে প্রস্তাবিত ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ভবন সমূহের মেরামত ও সংস্কার প্রকল্পের কাজ শুরু হবে। হাজী মুহসীন হলে চলমান ১৭৫টি রুমের সংস্কার কাজ অব্যাহত থাকবে। প্রকল্পের আওতায় সমস্ত ভবনের স্থাপত্য ও কাঠামোগত পুনর্বিন্যাস, বিদ্যমান সার্ভিস লাইন মেরামত, পানির ট্যাংক সংস্কার, বৈদ্যুতিক সাপ্লাই উন্নয়ন এবং নিরাপত্তা ব্যবস্থা সুদৃঢ় করা হবে।

• ৫ বছর মেয়াদি উন্নয়ন প্রকল্পের অধীনে ৬টি একাডেমিক ভবন নির্মাণ, ২৬০০ জন ছাত্রীর জন্য ৪টি আবাসিক হল নির্মাণ, ৫১০০ জন ছাত্রের জন্য ৫টি আবাসিক হল নির্মাণ, শিক্ষক ও অফিসারদের জন্য ২টি আবাসিক ভবন নির্মাণ, ৫টি অন্যান্য ভবন (প্রশাসনিক ভবনসহ) নির্মাণ, ৪টি জলাধার সংস্কার, বিদ্যমান সার্ভিস লাইন মেরামত/সংস্কার, ১টি খেলার মাঠ উন্নয়ন, ২টি পাবলিক টয়লেট নির্মাণ এবং ড্রেনেজ ও ওয়েস্ট ম্যানেজমেন্ট করা হবে।

• ৩১টি ভবনের স্থাপত্য (Architectural) ও কাঠামোগত (Structural) ডিজাইনের পরামর্শক নিয়োগ প্রক্রিয়া শুরু হয়েছে। প্রকল্প পরিচালক নিয়োগ সম্পন্ন হয়েছে। বার্ষিক ক্রয় পরিকল্পনা (Annual Procurement Plan - APP) ই-জিপি (e-GP) পোর্টালে প্রকাশিত হয়েছে।

• বিজ্ঞান-সংশ্লিষ্ট অনুষদসমূহ ও বিভাগে গবেষণার জন্য Atomic Force Microscope হস্তান্তর করা হয়েছে।

SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities (অসমতা হ্রাস)

20. সদাচরণ, ক্লাসে নিয়মিত উপস্থিতি ও লেখাপড়ায় সন্তোষজনক অগ্রগতি সাপেক্ষে ২০২২-২০২৩ এবং ২০২৩-২০২৪ শিক্ষাবর্ষের পদার্থবিজ্ঞান বিভাগের ৮ জন শিক্ষার্থীকে বীর মুক্তিযোদ্ধা আমেনা জামান স্মৃতি ট্রাস্ট ফান্ড বৃত্তি প্রদান করা হবে।

21. বিভাগের ৭৫ বছর পূর্তি উপলক্ষে ৭৫ জন শিক্ষার্থীকে প্রাক্তন ছাত্র সমিতির পক্ষ থেকে বিশেষ বৃত্তিসহ বিভাগের মোট ৮৪ জন শিক্ষার্থীকে বৃত্তি দেওয়া হয়েছে।

22. ২০২৪-২০২৫ শিক্ষাবর্ষে ১ম বর্ষ আন্ডারগ্র্যাজুয়েট প্রোগ্রামে অধ্যয়নরত ১৫০ জন নিয়মিত ছাত্র-ছাত্রীকে ‘আকিজ-মনোয়ারা শিক্ষা সহায়তা ট্রাস্ট বৃত্তি’ প্রদান করা হবে।

15. ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের বিভিন্ন বিভাগ ও বর্ষের ৬৩ জন ছাত্রীকে কবি সুফিয়া কামাল হল ট্রাস্ট ফান্ড বৃত্তি প্রদান করা হয়েছে।

20. (ক) সদাচরণ, ক্লাসে নিয়মিত উপস্থিতি ও লেখাপড়ায় সন্তোষজনক অগ্রগতির ভিত্তিতে ২০২২-২০২৩ এবং ২০২৩-২০২৪ শিক্ষাবর্ষের পদার্থবিজ্ঞান বিভাগের ৮ জন শিক্ষার্থীকে বীর মুক্তিযোদ্ধা আমেনা জামান স্মৃতি ট্রাস্ট ফান্ড বৃত্তি প্রদান করা হবে।

SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities (টেকসই ক্যাম্পাস ও সম্প্রদায়)

13. হল পরিষ্কার-পরিচ্ছন্নতা, ড্রেন ও কার্নিশ পরিষ্কার, মশা নিধন, খেলাধুলার মাঠ উন্নয়ন সংক্রান্ত কার্যক্রম। শিক্ষার্থীদের নিরাপদ ও পরিচ্ছন্ন পরিবেশ নিশ্চিত করতে নিয়মিত পরিচ্ছন্নতা অভিযান পরিচালনা করা হচ্ছে।

16. শেখ ফজিলাতুন্নেছা মুজিব হলে ফ্রিজ স্থাপন ও রিডিং রুমে ওয়াইফাই স্থাপন করা হয়েছে। শিক্ষার্থীদের আরও সুবিধাজনক পরিবেশ তৈরির জন্য প্রযুক্তি এবং আধুনিক শিক্ষাসামগ্রী সরবরাহ করা হয়েছে।

17. হলের পরিচ্ছন্নতা, মশক নিধন ও সিট ব্যবস্থাপনা কার্যক্রম সম্পন্ন হয়েছে। প্রশাসন নিয়মিত হোলগুলোর রক্ষণাবেক্ষণ এবং ছাত্র-ছাত্রীর স্বাচ্ছন্দ্য নিশ্চিত করতে এই কার্যক্রম চালিয়ে যাচ্ছে।

15 (খ). হল বাগানের নারিকেল গাছ পরিচর্যা এবং শিক্ষার্থীদের মাঝে নারিকেল বিতরণ করা হয়েছে। এই উদ্যোগ শিক্ষার্থীদের মধ্যে পরিবেশ সচেতনতা বৃদ্ধি এবং প্রাকৃতিক সম্পদের সুষ্ঠু ব্যবহার নিশ্চিত করতে সাহায্য করবে।

17 (ক–গ). বাংলাদেশ-কুয়েত মৈত্রী হলে ডাইনিং, গ্যাস পাইপ, সিট ও মশক নিধন সংক্রান্ত কার্যক্রম সম্পন্ন হয়েছে।

18 (ক–ঙ). কবি সুফিয়া কামাল হলে সিসি ক্যামেরা স্থাপন, সৌন্দর্যবর্ধন, পানির ট্যাংক পরিষ্কার, আসবাবপত্র ও পড়ার টেবিল সংক্রান্ত কার্যক্রম সম্পন্ন হয়েছে।

19 (খ). অমর একুশে হলে “নভোনীল” ফুটসাল গ্রাউন্ড নির্মাণ এবং আনুষঙ্গিক অবকাঠামো উন্নয়ন করা হয়েছে।

11. ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের অধিকতর উন্নয়ন প্রকল্প বাস্তবায়নের কাজ এগিয়ে চলেছে। ৩১টি ভবন, হল নির্মাণ, ড্রেনেজ, ওয়েস্ট ম্যানেজমেন্ট, জলাধার সংস্কারসহ পুরো প্রকল্প বাস্তবায়ন হচ্ছে।

SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production (দায়িত্বশীল উৎপাদন ও ব্যবহার)

• বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের বিভিন্ন অনুষদ ও বিভাগে পরিবেশ সচেতন কার্যক্রম চালু হয়েছে। কাগজ, পানি, বিদ্যুৎ, এবং প্লাস্টিক ব্যবহারে শিক্ষার্থীদের সচেতনতা বৃদ্ধি করা হচ্ছে।
• আবাসিক হলগুলোতে জৈব বর্জ্য এবং পুনর্ব্যবহারযোগ্য বর্জ্য আলাদা করার নিয়মাবলী প্রবর্তন করা হয়েছে।
• গবেষণা কার্যক্রম এবং ল্যাব ব্যবহারের সময় পরিবেশবান্ধব পদ্ধতি অনুসরণ করতে শিক্ষার্থীদের প্রশিক্ষণ দেওয়া হচ্ছে।

SDG 13: Climate Action (জলবায়ু পরিবর্তন ও কর্ম)

• বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় আবাসিক হল ও ল্যাবগুলোর শক্তি সাশ্রয়ী ব্যবস্থা উন্নত করা হয়েছে। LED আলো, সেন্সর ভিত্তিক বিদ্যুৎ ব্যবস্থাপনা এবং সৌরশক্তি সংক্রান্ত প্রকল্প চালু রয়েছে।
• পরিবেশবান্ধব গবেষণা কার্যক্রম এবং ক্যাম্পাসে গাছপালা রোপণের উদ্যোগ নেয়া হয়েছে।
• ছাত্র-ছাত্রীদের মধ্যে জলবায়ু পরিবর্তন সচেতনতা বৃদ্ধির লক্ষ্যে কর্মশালা, সেমিনার এবং বিতর্ক প্রতিযোগিতা আয়োজন করা হচ্ছে।

SDG 14: Life Below Water (জলজ জীবন সংরক্ষণ)

• ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় বিভিন্ন আন্তর্জাতিক এবং স্থানীয় সংস্থার সঙ্গে সমঝোতা স্মারক স্বাক্ষর করেছে, যার আওতায় নদী ও জলাশয়ের পানি দূষণ কমানো, জলজ প্রাণী সংরক্ষণ এবং গবেষণামূলক কার্যক্রম পরিচালনা করা হবে।
• শিক্ষার্থীদের মধ্যে জলজ জীববৈচিত্র্য সংরক্ষণের গুরুত্ব নিয়ে সচেতনতা বৃদ্ধি করা হচ্ছে। বিভিন্ন ল্যাব এবং প্রজেক্টের মাধ্যমে জলাশয়ের পানি পরীক্ষা, মাছের প্রজাতি সংরক্ষণ এবং প্লাস্টিক দূষণ কমানোর কার্যক্রম পরিচালিত হচ্ছে।
• ক্যাম্পাসের আশেপাশের জলাশয় এবং পুকুর সংরক্ষণে নিয়মিত পরিচ্ছন্নতা অভিযান চালানো হচ্ছে এবং শিক্ষার্থীরা এতে সক্রিয়ভাবে অংশ নিচ্ছেন।

SDG 15: Life on Land (স্থলজ জীবন সংরক্ষণ)

15. ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় দাওয়াহ সার্কেল-এর উদ্যোগে ৪-দিনব্যাপী শীতকালীন বইমেলায় বিনামূল্যে গাছের চারা বিতরণ করা হয়েছে। শিক্ষার্থীরা এই চারা গ্রহণ করে নিজের নিজস্ব জায়গায় রোপণ করার মাধ্যমে পরিবেশ সচেতনতা বৃদ্ধি করছে।

15 (খ). হল বাগানের নারিকেল গাছ পরিচর্যা এবং শিক্ষার্থীদের মাঝে নারিকেল বিতরণ করা হয়েছে। এটি শিক্ষার্থীদের মধ্যে প্রাকৃতিক সম্পদ সংরক্ষণ এবং পরিবেশ বান্ধব কার্যক্রমে অংশগ্রহণের সুযোগ তৈরি করেছে।

15 (ক–ঙ). কবি জসীম উদ্দীন হলের বৃত্তি, বাগান পরিচর্যা, জুতার র‌্যাক স্থাপন, পরিচ্ছন্নতা অভিযান ও অব্যবহৃত জিনিস অপসারণ সংক্রান্ত সকল কার্যক্রম সম্পন্ন হয়েছে।

SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions (শান্তি, ন্যায়বিচার ও শক্তিশালী প্রতিষ্ঠান)

2. ডাকসু-এর উদ্যোগে ডাকসু ও হল সংসদের নির্বাচিত প্রতিনিধিদের নিয়ে প্রতিনিধি সম্মেলন ২০২৫ অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে। সভাপতিত্ব, বক্তৃতা এবং সঞ্চালনা সংক্রান্ত সকল কার্যক্রম পুরোপুরি সফলভাবে সম্পন্ন হয়েছে।

5. ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় ক্যাম্পাসে ২০২৪ সালের ১৫ জুলাই থেকে ০৫ আগস্ট পর্যন্ত সংঘটিত বেআইনী ও সহিংস ঘটনা জড়িতদের চিহ্নিত করে প্রশাসনিক ব্যবস্থার আওতায় আনার জন্য তদন্ত কমিটি গঠন এবং ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ সংক্রান্ত বিস্তারিত সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়া হয়েছে।

17. ছাত্রীদের সঙ্গে সাধারণ সভা এবং অভিযোগ ব্যবস্থাপনা ব্যবস্থা জোরদার সংক্রান্ত কার্যক্রম পরিচালনা করা হয়েছে।

25. ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় ক্যালেন্ডার ২য় ও ৩য় খন্ড সংশোধন ও পুনঃমুদ্রণ সংক্রান্ত প্রশাসনিক সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়া হয়েছে।

• শহিদ বুদ্ধিজীবী দিবস (১৪ ডিসেম্বর ২০২৫) এবং মহান বিজয় দিবস (১৬ ডিসেম্বর ২০২৫) উপলক্ষ্যে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় কর্তৃপক্ষ বিভিন্ন কর্মসূচি গ্রহণ করেছে। শহিদ বুদ্ধিজীবী দিবসের কর্মসূচিতে উপাচার্য ভবনসহ বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভবনসমূহে কালো পতাকা উত্তোলন, অপরাজেয় বাংলার পাদদেশে জমায়েত, কেন্দ্রীয় মসজিদ, আবাসিক হল ও স্মৃতিসৌধে পুষ্পস্তবক অর্পণ। মহান বিজয় দিবসের কর্মসূচিতে জাতীয় পতাকা উত্তোলন, স্মৃতি চিরন্তন চত্বরে জমায়েত এবং সাভার জাতীয় স্মৃতিসৌধে পুষ্পস্তবক অর্পণ। দিবসগুলোতে বাদ আসর মসজিদসহ অন্যান্য উপাসনালয়ে প্রার্থনা ও দোয়া অনুষ্ঠান অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে।

SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals (অংশীদারিত্ব)

5. তারুণ্যের উৎসব ২০২৬ — ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় ও ডাকসু’র যৌথ আয়োজন। এতে শিক্ষার্থীরা বিভিন্ন সাংস্কৃতিক, শিক্ষামূলক এবং সামাজিক কার্যক্রমে অংশগ্রহণ করেছে।

9. বিভিন্ন বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় ও চারুকলা প্রতিষ্ঠানের অংশগ্রহণে কর্মশালা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে। এতে শিক্ষার্থীদের শিল্প, সংস্কৃতি এবং শিক্ষামূলক দক্ষতা বৃদ্ধির লক্ষ্যে বিভিন্ন কার্যক্রম পরিচালিত হয়েছে।

• জাপানের Kagawa University-এর সঙ্গে Collaborative Research Agreement স্বাক্ষরিত হয়েছে। এর আওতায় উভয় বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় যৌথভাবে প্রজেক্ট/গবেষণাকার্য পরিচালনা করবে এবং গবেষণার ফলাফল প্রকাশ করবে। এম.এস. এবং পিএইচডি শিক্ষার্থীরা গবেষণার কার্যক্রমে অংশগ্রহণ করবে।

• ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় ও Odoo Middle East DWC-LLC-এর মধ্যে সফটওয়্যার প্রশিক্ষণের সমঝোতা স্মারক স্বাক্ষরিত হয়েছে। শিক্ষার্থীরা বিনামূল্যে সফটওয়্যার বিষয়ে প্রশিক্ষণ পাবে এবং ভবিষ্যতের পেশাগত দক্ষতা বৃদ্ধি করবে।

• ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় ও পূবালী ব্যাংক পিএলসি-এর মধ্যে Co-Branded Card সমঝোতা স্মারক স্বাক্ষরিত হয়েছে।

• বিভিন্ন আন্তর্জাতিক সংস্থা, ট্রাস্ট ফান্ড এবং স্বেচ্ছাসেবী উদ্যোগের সঙ্গে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় অংশীদারিত্বের মাধ্যমে শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য বৃত্তি, অনুদান ও সহায়তা প্রদান করা হচ্ছে।
