In 2024, the University of Dhaka organized various certificate and training programs open to students, professionals, and the general public. Through the Institute of Modern Languages (IML), the University offered elementary certificate courses in multiple languages, including Arabic, Chinese, English, French, German, Japanese, and Spanish. These courses are designed as short-term programs to help participants enhance their language skills.

Additionally, the Department of Disaster Science and Climate Resilience conducted a training program titled “Certificate Course on Climate Change & Public Health.” This course was primarily intended for mid-level government officials, health professionals, and academic personnel, aiming to strengthen knowledge and skills related to climate change and public health.

Through these programs, the University of Dhaka continues to contribute actively to education, skill development, and social engagement. In line with its tradition of excellence, the University strives to expand educational opportunities for the broader public.
