Institute of Disaster Management and Vulnerability Studies (IDMVS)

The IDMVS has officially stated that “we also conduct outreach activities to disseminate the solutions beyond the University of Dhaka.”

In particular, the institute mentioned its efforts in conducting research on disasters and natural resource management, collecting data, and packaging information for the general public and decision-makers.

Centre for China Studies (CCS)

The Centre for China Studies under the University of Dhaka was established on March 24, 2024.

The centre organized several discussions and exchange programs outside Dhaka, such as the “Bangladesh Young Leaders Delegation to China” held in June 2024.

Additionally, the CCS launched both Bangla and English websites and social media platforms to enhance public communication and outreach.

Research Publication Fair 2024

On February 11, 2024, various institutes of the University of Dhaka participated in the “Research Publication Fair 2024.”

While not entirely a community outreach program, this fair played a crucial role in disseminating research outputs to a broader audience beyond the university, thereby contributing to knowledge sharing and public engagement.

Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)

The IQAC of the University of Dhaka organized multiple programs in 2024, including:

• “Academic Excellence Research Summit 2024 under Industry Partnership and Alignment Workshop (IPAW)”
• “Workshop on Creating a Safe Campus and Combating Bullying.”

Although these initiatives primarily took place within the campus, their industry partnerships, capacity-building components, and online outreach extended the university’s educational influence beyond its boundaries.
