The Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship Centre (ICE) at the University of Dhaka provides support for students, researchers, and entrepreneurs to transform innovative ideas into practical ventures. ICE creates an entrepreneurial ecosystem that offers training, mentorship, and resources to develop start-ups, business models, and technology-driven initiatives. It supports participants through every stage, from proof-of-concept to launch.
ICE hosts seminars, workshops, and events focused on entrepreneurial thinking, business development, and technology-based ventures.
While there is no specific publicly available record of direct support for low-carbon or clean energy technology start-ups in 2024, ICE provides an ideal platform for innovation and entrepreneurship that can facilitate sustainable and low-carbon solutions.
The University also encourages student entrepreneurship through clubs such as the Dhaka University Entrepreneurship Development Club (DUEDC), which provides networking, mentorship, and resources to help start-ups develop and scale.
In 2024, Dhaka University did not publish direct support specifically for low-carbon or clean energy start-ups. However, through initiatives like the Innovation, Creativity & Entrepreneurship Centre (ICE) and entrepreneurship clubs, the university fosters a start-up ecosystem that equips students and innovators with skills, mentorship, and resources to develop technology-driven, sustainable, and potentially low-carbon ventures.
