Local stakeholders are formally included in the university’s Senate and Syndicate, the two highest governing bodies responsible for academic and administrative policy decisions. Both the Senate and Syndicate include external members representing the Ministry of Education, government agencies, and registered graduates, ensuring that voices from outside the university are included in institutional governance. Beyond these, the university maintains committees that include local experts, civic leaders, and representatives of professional bodies who contribute to decisions on recruitments, procurements etc. to ensure transparency and accountability. Various consultative and advisory committees engage external experts, local government representatives, and civil society actors in university planning and policy formulation, particularly concerning infrastructure, cultural events, and community outreach programs.
The university regularly collaborates with Dhaka South City Corporation, Dhaka Metropolitan Police, DPDC, Fire Service and civic organizations to manage major Public events such as Mangal Shobhajatra and Amar Ekushey observances, which require coordinated civic participation and safety management. These partnerships reflect participatory planning and shared responsibility for community engagement, safety, and public access. Engagement extends to partnerships with NGOs and public agencies in social awareness, environment, and education initiatives, reinforcing the university’s civic responsibility and inclusivity.
The Office of the Vice Chancellor, Office of the Pro-Vice Chancellors, Office of the Treasurer, Office of the Registrar, Office of the Exam Controller, Office of the College Inspector, Proctor Office and the Public Relations Officemaintain structured communication channels with local stakeholders to receive feedback and address community concerns related to campus facilities, Students facilities, Stakeholders facilities, security and social impact. The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) includes external members representing public sector and community interests, ensuring stakeholder input in academic quality and strategic planning.
