Ensuring safe, sustainable, and equitable water use is essential for achieving SDG 6. As part of its ongoing commitment to community engagement and sustainable development, the University of Dhaka (DU) acknowledges the critical importance of creating accessible learning opportunities on effective water management for local communities. Such initiatives strengthen public awareness, build local capacity, and support long-term environmental resilience.

To further advance this goal, DU is considering several initiatives that will broaden community access to both free and paid water-management education. As part of this initiative, DU will:

• Launch community-focused training programmes and workshops on water conservation, safe water use, and household-level management techniques.
• Offer publicly accessible learning resources and demonstrations, ensuring transparency and wider reach.
• Develop verifiable documentation and publicly available materials to support SDG reporting and long-term community engagement.
• Create both short-term sessions and extended certification-style opportunities to accommodate diverse learning needs.
