The University of Dhaka ensures a legally verified living wage for all categories of employees—faculty members, officers, and staff—under the 8th National Pay Scale 2015, adopted in accordance with the University of Dhaka Order, 1973, and relevant government regulations.
All DU employees receive salaries fixed under the 8th National Pay Scale, which establishes nationally approved minimum-to-maximum wage brackets for every grade. Pay fixation, increments, and efficiency bar rules follow the provisions outlined in the 2015 Government Gazette.
