The University of Dhaka actively supports SDG-11 through research and publications that address waste management, traffic movement, campus boundary use, cultural activities, heritage preservation, and urban environmental improvement. Various departments including Geography & Environment, Disaster Science and Climate Resilience, Environmental Science, Sociology, Anthropology and Institute of Disaster Management and Vulnerability Studies—regularly publish studies on solid waste solutions, sustainable mobility, walkability, community access to open spaces, cultural engagement, conservation of historical sites, and air-quality or climate-resilience issues. These research outputs, published through DU journals and centers such as CUS, ITTS, and CARS, provide evidence-based insights that help city authorities and policymakers shape a more inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable urban future.
