The University of Dhaka is committed to promoting gender equality in higher education. To ensure transparency and inclusivity in the student recruitment process, the University systematically, regularly, and methodically monitors and analyzes female student application and admission/entry rates.
According to this policy:
- Application Monitoring: The number and proportion of female applicants will be recorded and analyzed annually.
- Admission Rate Monitoring: The number of female applicants accepted and enrolled will be regularly monitored.
- Gap Analysis: Differences in application and admission rates between male and female candidates will be identified.
- Targeted Interventions: If gaps are found, outreach programs, mentoring, scholarships, or other initiatives will be implemented to increase female student participation.
- Reporting: Female student admissions will be monitored through the publication of an annual report.
Through this systematic monitoring and analysis, the University of Dhaka aims to create a coordinated and inclusive admission environment, ensuring that women have equal opportunities in higher education.
